Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Magic-loving gamers may experience the penultimate Potter film in the interactive adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Based on the film and featuring characters built after its stars’ likenesses, the game includes missions and side-quests that guide players through the tale of J.K. Rowling’s phenomenally successful book series’ sixth novel. Half-Blood Prince’s gameplay style is similar to that of its immediate predecessor, Order of the Phoenix. Players are free to roam Hogwarts, the enormous arcane academy, where they will locate discovery spots in crucial areas that will activate quests and challenges to reveal narrative information and advance the tale. In the game, players can engage in wizard duels and play Quidditch, and, as in the book, the potent effects of both custom-brewed potions and teenage romance can significantly impact how events unfold. Half-Blood Prince has a day-night cycle that allows players to sneak out after dusk and perform quests that could arouse suspicion during the day. Along with duels with students from other Hogwarts houses, players will confront fearsome opponents such as Death Eaters and Inferi. Players will compete for the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup as Gryffindor’s star seeker. Following the book’s plot, mini-games allow players to try their hand at concocting potions using instructions from the enigmatic Half-Blood Prince’s ancient, annotated textbook.
