Shin Megami Tensei IV

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne was released in 2004, and SMTIV is the first real sequel to that game. It is built on the gameplay styles of ATLUS’ Persona, Devil Summoner, and Devil Survivor games. The Samurai, who are revered as holy defenders of the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado, play a major role in the narrative of SMTIV. The players, having just been promoted to the role of Samurai, will have to protect their home country against an ever-expanding army of demons while engaging in combat with several groups who have evil plans for the planet. Because the future of the planet hangs in the balance, the choices that players make during the course of the narrative will have ramifications that persist for a long time.
